| Letter to Carol
Dear Mrs Prescott,
I am a 29 year old actress from Greece. Several weeks ago I ordered your book and was delighted to receive it along with your kind note. You are telling me I am your first reader in Greece, what an honour and joy for me! I read the book within one afternoon (!!) but of course re-read it time and again even trying some of the exercises you suggest. What an interesting approach! It feels so gentle and harmonious releasing the actor from all kinds of stress and violence. (I'm deliberately using the word violence. In greek we have the word ''Via'' that has a double meaning : 1.violence and 2.rush. How typical for us actors to always be pressured to ''produce'' quick results skipping all the stages that are necessary and juicy and fun!!) When I first came across your web site I got seized by your thoughts and words. Reading the book enhanced my initial reaction. I have to tell you you spoke right into my heart! From the introduction to the very last page I got fascinated, encouraged, consoled, scolded , amused (what a beautiful sense of humour!), and even deeply deeply moved. Let me thank you once more for sending me your inspiring book. I know it will keep me good company through many rehearsal and performance periods! Have a nice summer and all the best to you and your lucky students! Sincerely, E. Z. Athens
