Letter to Carol

Dear Carol,

I once tried to start a professional theatre here in my state and on my board of directors was the chairman of the drama department at a major university. That distinguished man was willing to serve on my board but had great distaste for what I was doing: "You don't do theatre, you are really doing social work" he told me, "Theatre isn't suppose to be relevant to all of life. It's like sex, it's just what it is and no more."

So everyone doesn't get the idea. But you do.

Love,a distant but devoted,

Donna Wilshire
