| Letter to Carol hey Caroll, I just wanted to let you know that my audition went really well. I made a big step as far as joy seeking being the way in for me. I was initially afraid of the size of her when I was on my breath, cause she's a wild one. But what you said about the director seeing an actor who can take care of herself so that he is free to do his work really struck me, and I figured the best way to do that was to live her as fully as I felt her-not to shy away from that and give a "safe" audition. When we finished the scene, he said "wow-that was really powerful work." Then he was silent for a moment and was looking at my resume. he looked up and said. "wow-where do you study?" It gave me immense pleasure to tell him about you. So, thank you, thank you. See you thursday! Love, Amy And I made the team!! The audition was for a house team of a new improv theater company that grew out of the upright citizens brigade community. I am now on one of their house teams... By just focusing on my breathe and my good time, made me available to every positive lesson I learned from you guys. When the audition was over my first thought was, WOW THAT WAS FUN!! It was great to apply what I learned from you guys to this audition. All My Heart and All My Love, Adam |
