Letter to Carol

Hi, Carol

Wow, this week's class was inspirational. It seemed to me like lots of
people were making quantum leaps by using more of the techniques you've been
teaching more of the time -- each scene was more delightful than the last!

I will have a check for you next week (Weds.). I would also like to commit
to continuing in the class in Jan. - Mar. I feel like I'm just beginning to
build these skill sets and want to integrate and reinforce them.

I've only taken a "real" acting class once and that was many, many years ago
and your techniques were NOT being taught. Even if I did have to wait this
long to find you/discover these techniques, I'm glad bad habits haven't been
reinforced over years of acting and that I can appreciate how beautifully
breathing and being present and comfortable in my body works. Although I
felt awkward in the first several classes, like I wasn't "getting it", now I
feel I am starting to and it's a thrill. It's also beautiful to watch other
people get it and turn in such exhilarating work.

I wish I knew people to recommend the class to, but the only people I really
know are from the Improv Workshop. However, I hope you will e-mail them all
again. I know Gene (Terinoni) was interested but since he has to drive up
from Philly mid-week was not good for him (weekends are better). I'd love
to see you work w/ opera singers w/ these techniques. I think they'd
rediscover the thrill of performing and it would greatly enhance that
gorgeous music.

Thanks,

Julee
