Los Angeles January 12th & 13th 2008 Dates in other cities coming soon. an intensive weekend master class for the working actor with Carol Fox Prescott and Gary Austin in a multi-dimensional approach to acting in which improv techniques, breath work and creative freedom nourish the actor working improvisationally or with written text. Gary’s focus on playing actions within the reality of present circumstances, combined with Carol's unique approach to acting based on breathing, awareness and joy, help to enhance the freedom to trust and explore ... the magic of listening ... and the ability to respond with true spontaneity. LOCATIONS & DATES TO BE ANNOUNCED A personal note from Carol: Hey y'all, I'm thrilled to be teaching with Gary Austin again and at the prospect of connecting up with faces I haven't seen in many months (or years, for that matter) and also to meet new Seattle and DC area folks who are passionate about their work and looking forward to taking their next step into the unknown with Gary and me as their guides. Off Balance/On Target, I find, is still the most apt title for the work we do (we've been teaching under it together for ten years) although each workshop is always unique and wonderfully new as we all bring to it what ever it is we've been learning and teaching in this moment of time. New artistic experiences and insights may seem to throw us off balance at first but after a few false starts we most often find that we are perfectly on target in a way we've never before dreamed possible.
